Show I I Mark Bezzant Dies In California Friends here were grieved to learri of the death of Mark Bezzant, 56, of Ventura, California, which occurred oc-curred at his home there Friday, December 1st. He had been in ill health for several months and not long ago underwent a serious operation. opera-tion. Mr. Bezzant resided here for a number of years. For twelve years he was bookkeeper in the former American Fork Co-op., leaving here in 1923 for Ventura, where a splendid nosition awaited him with a. lares packing company. The deceased was born in Pleasant Grove, April 22, 1878, son of the late , Mark and Harriett Louise Shoell Bezzant. He spent his early life in . Pleasant Grove, later attended the , University of Utah, and he also served serv-ed in the Spanish-American war. Mr. Bezzant married Miss Pearl Lambert of American Fork and they became the parents of two children, a son and a daughter. The son, Holden, was killed in an automobile accident in California a little over a year ago. Surviving are Mrs. Bezzant and daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise Often, and one granddaughter, of Ventura; six brothers and one sister, Glen Bezzant, Farmington; Elmer Bezzant, Bez-zant, American Fork; Arch, Bert, Mathew and Ray Bezzant and Mrs. Rose B. Radmall of Pleasant Grove. Funeral services and burial took place in Ventura Monday. President C. E. Young and Bishop Joseph H. Starrs close friends of the family left Sunday morning early for Ventura Ven-tura and returned Wednesday night. |
