Show T Obituaries Former Librarian Dies At Home Allen LeRoy Green AMERICAN FORK-A former librarian at American Fork City Library has died. Ellen Ruth Jacklin Tracy, 83, died Friday at her home in and Mrs. Alice Day, both American Fork, Mrs. Sarah Roylance, Provo; Mrs. Edith West, Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Mary Cooch, Lehi. One grandson, Joseph Tracy, proceeded her in death. Services were Tuesday at the American Fork Third Ward. LEHI- Allen LeRoy Green, 47, died Sept. 11, 1982. He was born Jan. 10, 1935 in Lehi to Milton Samuel and Reubena Brooks Green. He married Ileen Curtis Aug. 26, 1952. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a sales representative for Familian Pipe and Supply Co. He had served as scoutmaster, Explorer advisor, MIA president, ward choir. He is survived by his wife. Lehi; one son and seven daughters; Phillip Allan, Provo; Mrs. Timothy (Margie) Mitchell, Mrs. Teresa Peay, Mrs. Greg , (Peggy) Cassingham, Mrs. Jeffery (Wendy) Shupe, Mrs. David (Becky) Hutchison, Melinda Jane, and Sally Ileen, all of Lehi; his mother, Lehi; 10 grandchildren, and a brother, Kenneth M. Green, Gulf Port, Miss. Services were held Tuesday at the Lehi 15th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. American Fork. She was born June 1, 1899 in American Fork to John and Martha Elizabeth O'Neal Jacklin. She married Austin Elmer Tracy on Sept. 2, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a member of the American Fork Third LDS Ward and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She taught school for many years and was librarian for American Fork City. Survivors include her husband, one son and two daughters, Jacklin E. Tracy, Mrs. Kenneth (LaRae) Savage, both . of American Fork; Mrs. Norman C. Isabell Spencer Holdsworth Dies AM. FORK - Isabell Spencer Holdsworth, 84, died September 8, 1982 at her residence. She was born February 27, 1898 in American Fork to James Owen and Christina Hansen Spencer. She married William J. Holdsworth September 17, 1919 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in December, 1979. She was a member of the American Fork Sixth Ward and was active in the Utah Letter Carriers Auxiliary. She is survived by one son, K. Jay Holdsworth, Salt Lake City; three children of her late daughter Ruth, Stephen K. Jones, New York City; Bryan Jones, Philadelphia, Pa; Mrs. Donald (Kathy) Macleod, Denver, Colo. ; five other grandchildren, grand-children, ten great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Golda S. Gray, Magna. Funeral services were held Saturday at 12 noon in the American Fork Sixth Ward Chapel. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. LEHI-Jo Black, age 23, died September 10, i 1982, at her home in Lehi, due to a blood clot following surgery. Born November 15, j 1958, in Provo, a ! daughter of Raymond Merle and Lois Crittenden Bleak. She j attended Brigham l Young University as a psychology major on a dean's scholarship. During this time she worked for Professor Harold Miller of the Psychology Department. Depart-ment. She was also secretary and office manager for Stone Construction Co. Active in all organizations organiza-tions of the LDS Church. She served as ward chorister for many years. She loved Funeral Services For Jo Black iii ii ii .iff, I ii . f.nr ' JO BLACK LEHI- Funeral services were held for Jo Black on Tuesday, Sept. 14, in the Wing Mortuary Chapel. : Russell Daly played the prelude and postlude music and the prayer with family members was by George William Black. Eldred Fox of the high council announced the services and spoke comforting words to family members and friends of Jo. The invocation in-vocation was offered by Ray Prather. Steve Sayre presented a musical number and Dr. Harold M. Miller, Stake President, gave the biographical sketch. J. Dell Holbrook, high councilman, offered the benediction. The dedicatory prayer at the graveside in Lehi City Cemetery was spoken by George Merle Black, Jo's grandfather. Serving as pallbearers were Brad Russon, Kenny Peck, Troy Carlton, Mark Provost, Kole Davis, Gerald Jones and honorary pallbearers i Carl Mastin, Skeeter Ray Black, Kole Black, Ray Black, Logan I Black, Trent and Trevor I Black, Tom Black and ! Clint and Shawn Cox. The flowers were cared for and arranged by Joan Evans, Iona j Hadfield and Darlene I Hadfield. Mother of Local Man Dies in Salt Lake Verlie Ida Jackson McFarlane, 82, died Monday, Sept. 6 in a Salt Lake rest home, after a long illness. Born February 23, 1900 to Thomas A. and Elizabeth Loosli Jackson in Salt Lake City, she married Lawrence Clyde Mc-! Mc-! Farlane in the Salt Lake ! Temple May 29, 1918. He j died Dec. 19, 1954. I Active in the LDS I church, she served in many auxiliaries, especially the Primary and Relief Society. She possessed a lovely voice and sang in the Relief Society Chorus in the Wasatch Ward. She is survived by one son, and three daughters, as well as nine grandchidren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 10 at Larkin Funeral Home in Salt Lake City, with burial in the city cemetery. Mrs. McFarlane was the mother of Byron L. McFarlane, a resident of American Fork. |
