Show Funeral Services Held Friday for H. S. Fraughton Funeral services were held Friday, May 2 for H. Sherman Fraughton at 1 p.m. in the Vineyard Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop LaDell Gillman. Mr. Fraughton, a former resident of Peasant Grove, died April 30, in the American Fork Hospital of natural causes. He was 35 years of age. Speakers, who told of the relatively rel-atively short, yet purposeful life of the deceased were Harold Har-old S. Walker, Grant Holdaway and Dr. Max Blackham. Bishop Gillman closed with fitting remarks. re-marks. Sharleen and Colleen Allen sang "Beyond the Sunset" and Beth Clegg sang "Oh My Father." Fath-er." Helen Allen accompanied the singers and also played the prelude and postlude. Nany Ekins sang "There's a Long Long Trail," and "Honey," "Hon-ey," accompanied by Catherine Cather-ine Rees. Family prayer, the invocation, invoca-tion, and the benediction were offered by Nathan Jones, Dean Fraughton and Archie L. Millet, Mill-et, in that order. Pallbearers were Dean, DeMar, Dee and Vern Fraughton, Bruce Thomas Thom-as and Leo Johnson. Flowers were arranged and cared for by the Vineyard Ward Relief Society. The grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated ded-icated by Dr. C. Dale Murdock. Mr. Fraughton was vorn Nov. 24, 1933, Tabiona, Duchesne County, to Oral S. and Edna May Jones Fraughton. He married mar-ried Fay Millet Sept. 2, 1955 in Provo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Tem-ple. He was a shipping supervisor, super-visor, Provo Plumbing and Heating Co. He was a Sunday School Superintendent, and a member of the Big Game Hound Assn. Survivors include his widow, sons, daughter, Shane, Jon, Shelly, all Orem; parents, PI. Grove; brother, sisters, Kay, Lindon; Mrs. Grant (Carol) Loader, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Edward (Marilyn) Payne, Am. Fork; Vickie, Pleasant Grove; grandmother, Mrs. Martha Fraughton, American Fork. |
