Show NELSON FER.GUSEN WEDDING HELD LAST FRIDAY The beautifully decorated First ward Recreation hall, with pink and white streamers and baskets of summer flowers 'formed a lovely setting for the reception given Friday Fri-day evening by Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ray-mond Nelson, honoring their daughter daugh-ter Dorothy and Eugene Fergusen, who earlier in the evening were married at the brides home. In the receiving line were bride and groom, their parents, matron of honor, Mrs. Howard Nelson of Provo, and other attendants, Miss Dorace - Peay, Miss Maurine Esklund, Esk-lund, Miss Mary Lou Gardner, Miss Elma Walker. Best man was Elver-non Elver-non Fergusen, Jr. The bride was charmingly dressed in white lace and net, with finger tip veil and carried a bridal bo-quet bo-quet of red roses. The attendants were all clad in lovely pastel colors. Mrs. Nelson wore blue, Miss Peay chose pink, Miss Esklund, yellow, while Miss Gardiner and Miss Walker Walk-er chose blue. All wore corsages of roses and sweetpeas. Mrs. Nelson and Mrs Fergusen pinned on corsages cor-sages of gardenias and roses. Karl Banks was master of ceremonies cere-monies and (introduced the following follow-ing program numbers. Vocal solo, O Promise Me, by Miss LaBelle iBoley, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Mabel Boley; cornet solo, Edward Ed-ward Hoopes, accompanied by Howard How-ard Paxman; Vocal solo, Because by Vernon LeMaster, accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Jones; toast to the bride and groom, Mrs. Howard Warnick; and a vocal solo, Thine Alone, by Miss Helen Edwards, accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Johnson. John-son. Dancing completed the evenings even-ings entertainment. Tasty refreshments were served in the relief society ball where the table held a centerpiece of roses and sweetpeas, flanked by candles. Presiding were Mrs. Sadie Beck, Mrs. Chloe Hanper and Mrs. Pearl West. Serving were Pat Hillman, Janet Warnick, Melba Gardiner, and Georgia Lea Bullock. In the gift room, Mrs. Althea Richins, Mrs. Ora May Fergusen, and Mrs. Edward Bogaus presided. |
