Show Golden Wedding Observed by Mr. and Mrs. Wright The golden wedding anniversaries of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Wright, Mr. and Mrs. David Conder. which occur this month, were celebrated last Saturday night by two hundred twenty-five relatives and friends of these two well known couples in Firmage Hall. Mrs. Alma Earl, a daughter of the Conders, and Mrs. J. B. S.cwart, a daughter of the Wrights were in charge of the arrangements ar-rangements and J. B. Stewart officiated offi-ciated as mast-er of ceremonies. Mr. and Mrs, Wright's anniversary occurs on December 23rd and Mr. and Mrs. Conder's on December 11th. Mrs. Conder and Mr. Wright are brother and sister. All four were born in American Fork and have reared fine families of which they may well be proud. Mr. Conder was born January 3, 1862, and his wife Mary E. Wright Conder was born April 24, 1864. Mr. Conder for 32 years was employed with the Utah-Idaho Sugar Co., serving serv-ing as a foreman 25 years of this period. The last few years he has busied himself with farming. Mrs. Conder too, has led an active life. For 30 years she worked in the Primary Pri-mary and Relief Society organizations. organiza-tions. They have been the parents of six children, two of whom are living, liv-ing, Mrs. Elizabeth Earl and William E. Conder, both of this city. They also have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. F. W. Wright was bom January 15, 1862, and his wife on June 6, 1863. Mr. Wright for over 30 years has followed the building trade, here and also spent 10 years in Salt Lake. His wife for over 20 years has been an active Relief Society worker. They have had eight children, six of -shorn are living: Jolm W. Wright, Sterling, Idaho; M. H. Wright, Jesse H, Wright and Mrs. Jennie W. Lund of Salt Lake City; F. Earl Wright and Mrs. Elva Stewart Stew-art of American Fork. They also have sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A program was given during the evening at the party, consisting of a song and dtnee number by Shirley and Phyllis Stewart; a reading by Miss Amy Wagstaff ; a song by Bar-i Bar-i bara Perrctt of Idaho Falls, and a talk by S. L. Chipman, life long friend of the two couple. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served and dancing was enjoyed by all. o |
