Show J. W. Anderson, P.G. Native Dies in Spanish Fork Very impressive funeral services were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in Spanish Fork Stake House for Bishop Joseph W. Anderson of Spanish Fork, native of Pleasant Grove, who died in a Payson hospital hos-pital on Thursday. Among the speakers were Stake president James Toronto, Bishop Ray Gull and Quayle Dixon. Music was furnished by the Singing Mothers, and also a vocal solo by Rulon Nicholes of American Fork. Numerous relatives and mends from Pleasant Grove attended the funeral. Active in civic affairs, Mr. Anderson An-derson was a member of the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Knife and Fork Club, as well as having been a (dty councilman. He also had played the role of Santa Claus for many organizations during dur-ing the past 22 years. He was owner of the Spanish Fork Saddlery for 22 years, and hao worked in that business with his father and brother. Mr. Anderson was born Feb. 19, 1890 in Pleasant Grove, to Ole and Minnie Nielsen Anderson. He married Pearl Yates of Lehi, Aug. 11, 1911 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died in 1942. He married Ethel Eth-el Hilton West on May 2, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. His sui-vivors include his widow and children: Harold Y., Provo; Mrs. Leslie A. (Fern) Johnson, American Fork; Mrs. Leo William (Hazel) Jex, Guntersville, Ala.; Stepchildren: E. Eugene and J. Everett West, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Joseph W. (Gwen) Larsen, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove; Dale H. West, Provo; 18 grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.Mrs. Annie Vancroft, Salt Lake City; G. A.
