Show Funeral Is Held For Mrs. Harriett Wright Bezzant The Windsor ward chapel was filled Wednesday afternoon with relatives and friends who gathered to pay last respects to the memory mem-ory of Mrs. Harriet W. Bezzant and I extend sympathy to her family: I The service directed by Bishop LeGrande Ercanbrack of the Lin-don Lin-don ward, was held in the Windsor ward chapel. The opening number was a vocal duet, "Whispering Hope," sung by Doris Johnson and Eva Millet, accompanied ac-companied by Ruth Lovell. Invocation Invo-cation was offered by Bishop LeGrande Le-Grande Jarman of Windsor ward. A sketch of the life of Mrs. Bezzant was read by a granddaughter, grand-daughter, Joyce Bezzant. Speakers who paid tribute to the life of Mrs. Bezzant and told of her untiring devotion as a mother, moth-er, a friend and a church worker, were Donald Wright of Lehi, a nephew, Patriarch D. B. Thorne, and former Bishop Charles J. Cobbley. Cob-bley. Musical numbers interspersing the speakers were a vocal solo "I Come to Thee O Lord," by Victor Vicklund accompanied by Mrs. Lovell; a vocal trio, "In the Garden," by Mrs. J. E. Hardman, Mrs. Lee Beers and Mrs. Glade Bullock. After closing remarks by Bishop Ercanbrack, Nadine and Wilma Hales sang the closing number, "Sunset" and Bishop A. L. Culli-more Culli-more pronuonced the benediction. Prelude and postlude music was played by Ruth Lovell. Burial, directed by Olpin Mortuary, Mort-uary, was made in the Pleasant Grove cemetery where the dedicatory dedicat-ory prayer was offered by Leon Walker of the Lindon wad bishopric. bishop-ric. Pallbearers, grandsons of Mrs. Bezzant, included Howard Green, Clyde Olson, Junior Walker, Samuel Sam-uel Harris, Lloyd Bone and James Butterfield. Relief Society of Lindon Lin-don and Windsor wards arranged the floral offerings and served the lunch in the home. Mrs. Bezzant was born June 28, 1870 in Pleasant Grove, a daughter daugh-ter of John C. and Charlotte Smith Wright. She attended schools in Pleasant Grove and was married to Samuel Bezzant, Dec. 7, 1885. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Bezzant Bezz-ant died in 1917. She was an active Church worker work-er and had been a Relief Society teacher for several years. Surviving are six sons and daughters, Mrs. Isaac (May) Harris, Har-ris, Orem; Mrs. LaMar (Roxie) Green and Floyd Bezzant, Lindon; Mrs. Eldon (Clarice) Bone, Lehi; Mrs. Guy (Chloe) Warner, Provo; and Leo Bezzant, WamasTa sister, "Mrs. Letsha Hansen, Salt Lake City; 29 grandchildren; 43 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and a great-great-gandchild. |
