Show American Fork Native Buried In California Funeral services were held at the Mot tell Funeral Chapel, Ing Beach, California, Wednesday, November C, 1&29, at 2 p. m., for John Houston, Jr., who diud Sunday evening, November No-vember 3, at 8:45 p. m- John Houston, accompanied by his wife and youngest son, James, arrived arriv-ed In Ijng Beach, California, from I'leasunt Grove, Utah, October 28, with the Intention of spending ths winter with their eldest son, Maryon, sincerely hoping that the change of climate won I'd prove beneficial to hia health, having been 111 for many years. The deceased was born May 17, 18-(;!, 18-(;!, al. American Fork, ,'tah, and was the son of John and Susan A. Hous-ton, Hous-ton, pioneers of this city. Besides his wife, JeUie Houston, wlio is now residing at f.ng Beach, he leaves four sons, Maryon, Avlyn, Avery an'd James, two brothers, F. M. Houston and Mrs. William! II- Gardner, Gard-ner, of American Fork, and one sIb-ter, sIb-ter, Mina H. Lampen, of Los Angeles, California. Bishop Thor Ncllson, assisted by Elder W. U. Cranney of Long Beach Branch of the Latter-day Saint Church, ofuciatod at the services, which were opened by an organ recital. re-cital. Two solos by Mrs. Emily Potter, Pot-ter, "Oh My Father" and "Face to Face" were then very beautifully rendered. Interment was made in Central Memorial Park Cemetery, Long Beach, California. |
