Show 31st Birthday Of Scout Program To Be Observed The program for the Thirty-First Anniversary of the Boy. Scouts of America has been received by the Alpine district committee and plans for the local observance of the anniversary are being made, according accord-ing to District Chairman Francis B. Abel. . According to the plan outlined by national headquarters, the Scout activities ac-tivities will commence on February 2 and continue until February 13. Definite information has been received re-ceived that President Franklin D. Roosevelt . and Chief Scout Executive Execu-tive James E. West will be on the air over KSL on Saturday, February 8, from 8:15 to 8:30 p. m. A recommittal recom-mittal to the Scout Oath and Law will be conducted during this period. Special Scout events in the Alpine district will tie in with, this broadcast, broad-cast, Mr. Abel announced. Recommittal! Recom-mittal! exercises and banquets are being planned by the Scout troops of the district, to be held the same night. The Boy Scout troop of the Third ward will present the program Sunday Sun-day evening in the ward chapel. This will be a part of the troop's observance ob-servance of the Thirty-First Anniversary Anni-versary of Scouting. All ward members mem-bers are urged to attend this special meeting. Boy Scouts of the Second ward troop will sponsor the program Sunday evening in the ward chapel, as the opening event in the observance ob-servance of the Thirty-First Anniversary Anni-versary of Scouting. Two interesting moving picture films from the Brigham Young university uni-versity collection, "Canoe Trails Through Mooseland", showing the big-game country of Canada; and "Daughter of the Glaciers", will be shown.
