Show City Birthday Celebration Planned Plan-ned for PL Grove Committees of the Sons and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers met at the home of Captain Annie Hol-man Hol-man Monday evening to discuss and make plans for the city's birthday which occurs on Monday, September 13th. j It was planned to hold a reception recep-tion for all pioneers at 2:00 p. m. in the log cabin. This program includes in-cludes a talk by Captain Holman, reminiscences by pioneers, congregational congre-gational songs, musical numbers by Jim and Howard Nelson, a duet by Fern Hicks and Mary Lee and prayer pray-er by Chaplain Mary Weeks. Refreshments Re-freshments will be served to the pioneers and others present. At 8:00 p. m. in the stake tabernacle taber-nacle a fine program is being arranged ar-ranged for the entire community. Dr. Howard R. Driggs and Dr. John Z. Brown wDl be the speakers with a few words of welcome from Captain Cap-tain Holman and Captain A. P. Warnick will give closing remarks. Musical numbers will be rendered by Ora Chipman and Roy Fage. September 13th is the 87th anniversary anni-versary of Pleasant Grove City. All citizens and former citizens are given giv-en a cordial invitation to meet and appreciate more fully just what our city means to us. Fourteen pioneers being here who are especially invited. They are: Alf Tomlinson, William West, John Christensen, Mary B. Fage, Adeline Nelson, George Ash, Polly Ashton, Annie Holman, Eliza Banks, Joseph Shoell, Joseph Halliday, Christina Warnick, Alex Gray and Mary Ol-sen. Ol-sen. o |
