Show Concert Treat At Provo Next Wednesday-Evening, Wednesday-Evening, March 13 An outstanding musical feast is in store for the people of Utah county when on March 13th there will appear in the Stake Tabernacle at Provo, three of Utah's most talented artists. The program will be headed by Alexander Alex-ander Schreiner, noted organist at the great Salt Lake tabernacle organ and at the L. Marcus Capitol theatre. The two assisting artists will be Lydia White Beethby, Utah's charming and talented harpist and Laura Pearl Adams Decker, a dramatic reader of unusual ability. Mr. Schreiner holds an enviable position in the organists' world. Ho has appeared in concerts all along the Pacific Coast and in Paris, France and Nuremberg, Germany, where he received much of his training. He is I a musician of natural ability and has performed in public from: the early age of five years. At eight years of age he was church organist in Nurem berg, Germany. Lydia White Boothby, who is acclaimed ac-claimed ane of the foremost exponents expon-ents of her difficult instrument, commenced com-menced her serious study of the harp under the late Heinrich Schuecker of Boston. She was an apt pupil and soon found place in the Boston Symphony Sym-phony Orchestra where she played for two seasons. Later she gave a series of concerts throughout the Eastern States. Mrs. Boothby is probably the only professional harpist within the state of Utah and it is needless to say her performance will he thorough ly enjoyed. Mrs. Pearl Adams Decker has attained at-tained high honors in the dramatic field. She headed the Dramatic Art Department of the Brigham Young university at one time and since that time has appeared in recital in Colorado Colo-rado and in the East, where she has made her home and studied. Her work is exceptional. Through years of painstaking study and devotion to their talents, these three artists will offer a. program of real merit and entertainment. |
