We are deeply grateful to all who participated at the services, those who sent food or floral tributes, the many who to expressions of sympathy and those in any way offered their assistance. Funeral services for William T, Ewell were held Tuesday, May 5, 1970 at 1:00 p.m. in the Spanish Fork Fourth-SevenWard Chapel with 1st Counselor Zera Staheli conducting. Prelude and postlude music was played by Vickie Staheli. Invocation was givenby Allen Clayson. The opening song, Beyond the Sunset, was sang by a trio, Lavina Mecham, Verda Throckmorton and Lucille Thomas, accompanied by Donna Davis. Speaker was J. Austin Cope Jr. LaMar Tuckett sang, Silver Haired Daddy of Mine. After remarks by 1st Counselor Zera Staheli the closing song, I Need Thee Every Hour, was sang by the 7th Ward Singing Mothers, directed by June Smith and accompanied by Vickie Staheli. Benediction was pronounced by Leon Hone. Family prayer at the mortuary was given by Paul Ewell Burial was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery under the direction of Walker Mortuary where the grave was dedicated by James Jex. Pallbearers were Morris Dean Ewell, David EweU, Max Dockstader, Don Ewell, Duane Dockstader and Donnie Smith. year as noted in this picture. Alva Curtis Pleoase ave us a I Alva Lucille Hanks Curtis, 70, died May 4, 1970 in the Payson City Hospital of natural causes. She was born Sept. 7, 1899 in Salem, Utah, a daughter of George E. and Christine B. Olsen Hanks. She received her education in the Salem and Spanish Fork Schools and graduated from the Brigham Young University with a teachers degree. She married Ezra Leonard Curtis, May 12, 1920 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. Curtis taught elementary school in Benjamin for 2 years. She was an active member of the LDS Church working in llcsum. Fern Jackson Fern White Jackson, 67, Payson, died May 3 in a Payson hospital of natural causes. Born April 1, 1903 in Giles, Utah, she was a daughter of Levi Charles and Bertha Giles White. She married Harvey Perry Jackson in Aug. 1920 in Duchesne. The marriage was later solemnized in the MantiLDS Temple. She served with her husband on LDS Missions in Tonga, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin. She was Relief Society president three times and a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Survivors include her husband, Payson; a son, Fred Perry Jackson, Bountiful; five daughters, Mrs. Robert L. (Almeda) Britton, Redwood Valley, Calif.; Mrs. Lois J. Sorenson, Payson; Mrs. Joseph (Belva) Ingram, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Sidney (Fon-tellSweet, Murray; Mrs. Jack L.
