Sloppy Play The early going was characterized by sloppy play on the part of both sides. The Miners recovered a Wasp fumble on the first play from scrimmage only to relinquish the ball the next play. Neither team was able to get into gear during the first quarter as they exchanged punts. The few long gains made were nullified by penalties. Second Half Collapse The second half belonged to Wasatch as the Miner defense collapsed. In the third quarter, Wasp halfback Keith Price scampered 25 yards fra a touchdown. The kick was good and Wasatch took a 6 lead. 7-- The Wasps seemed to be charged by die score and began taking it to the Miners. Halfway through the third period, Wasatch recovered a Miner fumble on the Park City 38. They drove to the 21 and a face mask penalty put the ball on the 11.
