Show LAND NEAR SALT LAKE OPEN The areas and boundaries of tho Nebo and the Wasatch forests of Utah have been considerably modified by two proclamations which President Presi-dent Taft signed July 1. The Nebo, which comprises several separate tracts, loses by elimination approximately 15.122 acres, and by transfer to the Wasatch the tract known as the Vernon division. Practically all the lands excluded from the Payson dl-viflon dl-viflon are already alienated, whll those excluded from the Vernon division di-vision contain a considerable num-l num-l er of portions adapted to grazing and dry farming. The actual management man-agement has been lor a year in tho hands of tho forest supervisor of tho Wasatch at Salt Lake City. The additions consist of a lew Isolated areas lying on tho Salt Lake City wutershed, several sections just south ol the Grantsvllle diUsion, covered with a heavy stand of Juniper Hnd inon, and an area of about l,2no acres east of the city of Pleasant Giove. These ,2m acres contain eonii-! merchantable t Ira bur, but were recommended for addition chiefly on account of their value in the protection protec-tion of the water of Plca.-ant Grove. On this addition no grazing fee will be charged during the present year, and the grazing privileges of thoso wiio hae bocn reguluriy using the iron will be carefully guarded.
