Show NEGROES ARE NOW THE CHAMPIONS Win the Title by Taking the Final Gaem of Series From Eureka. Salt Lako, Oct. 10. The Occident-easlly Occident-easlly won from Eureka Sunday afternoon after-noon in the deciding game of the aeries for the state championship, by a score of 10 to 2. The champions had everything tnelr own way throughout through-out the game and had no trouble in securing a big lead and maintaining It. Al Langford pitched superb ball for the negroes, allowing only four hits. He fielded his position brilliantly, brilliant-ly, accepting ten chances without an error. The star catch of the day was made by Langford, when be corralled a hard foul popped up by Sutherland in the seventh Inning, retiring the side when the bases were full. The fielding of the Occidentals was good throughout tho game and their base running was spectacular. They stole bases at will and kept things moving all the time. Slow fielding on the part of the Eureka was accountable account-able for several of the Occidentals' Bafe hits. The Oxles scored three runs In the first Inning and in the fifth pounded Williams for four more. Each one on the team hit well, Robinson leading with two doubles |
