Show IMPROVING OF HUDSON AVENUE Assistant City Engineer Roach slates that the razing of the old building on Hudson avenue will be completed Saturday night and the work of laving sewer and other under-f..round under-f..round conveniences, such as gas mains, telephone, telegraph and clec Mc light wires, can be begun Monday morning. The survovK for the avenue have been made, including the placing of the grade stakes, and there will be nothing in tho way of beginning ac-iive ac-iive slre-et building operations Monday Mon-day morning. The basements of some of the buildings that have been torn down will be filled with dirt that, will necessarily have to be taken from the nveiiuo to get low enough for the placing of six inches of concrete cement, ce-ment, an inch and a half eif binding and two inches of asphaltnm. Tho engineer says that Contractor Moran will be here early next week to begin tlie paving of Washington avenuo from Twenty-second street to the Ogden river bridge. It looks as though both 1Iiii1m.ii avenue and North Washinulon avenue will bo paved within tho next sixty days. |
