Tho program committee for the' Fourth of July celebration cel-ebration that has1 been arranged for this city on Tuesday has completed Its, arrangements for the day and an attractive program has been outllnel. Al. 10:30 a. m. a big public meeting will be held in the tabernacle, at which Mathonlhah Thomas of Salt Lnko City will deliver the oration The celebration will open by a band concert at the court house grounds from 9 to 9:30 o'clock and at the tabernacle grounds from 9:30 to 10 o'clock. At 10:30 the following pro-1 pro-1 gram will be carried out In the tabernacle: taber-nacle: Invocation S. Norman Lee Chorus, "Star Spangled Banner" Tabernacle Choir Glee, "Friendship, Love and Song"... Tabernacle Choir Recitation Miss Estelle Peterson Cornet Solo ..-..Lawrence Jorgensen Double Quartet Our Girls Oration Hon. Mathonlhah Thomas Singing, "America" Choir and Congregation Benediction George A. Anderson At 2 p. m. the citizens and visitors will go to the city park near the Oregon Ore-gon Short Line depot, where the afternoon aft-ernoon will be spent in many amusements amuse-ments for the old and young people. A continuous band concert will be rendered by the Brighnm City Military band. The following prizes will be awarded: For couple married longest, tnble linens; couple married the shortest short-est period, alarm clock; for largest family present, knives and forks; for prettiest baby under 18 months of age, wearing apparel: sowing contest, ladies' plank sawing and nail driving contest. For the children: Obstruction Obstruc-tion race, 100-yard dash, polo vaulting, sack races, relay races and other events. At 3:30 a hasehall game will be played at the parjc between the Brlgham Brlg-ham team and nn outside team, to be decided upon Monday. |
