C, in connection with USAC business and in the interest of legislation now pending in Congress Con-gress in regard to establishment or experimental phosphate plants in the inter-mountain area. These pilot plants are to be so constructed, if they are ap proved by Congress, that they can be sold to private industry or to farm cooperatives after the experimental experi-mental period has passed. Legislation to provide for construction con-struction of these western plants was introduced in Congress April 17. Sponsors of the bill are Senatrs Bankhead of Texas Hill of Tennessee, and Representative Flanigan. While in Washington, President Peterson will investigate in the interest of U St A C, plans being made hy the federal government Tor the disposal of surplus war equipment and supplies to educational edu-cational institutions. ft is expected that huge supplies sup-plies of scientific apparatus will be made available in the near future to scientific institutions.
