Show Kay Thornley Meets Tragic Death I Benson Kay Thorniey, id, son . of Mr. and Mrs. Benson Thorn'ey, was dragged and trampled to death by a horse here Sunday. night. Oliver Anderson, Smithfield, City marshall, said (the Thornlcy i boy apparently was leading the horse with the halter rope tied around his waist when the animal bolted and dragged and trampled him for nearly one block, j The horse started to run in the yard of young Thornley's graird-! graird-! father, R. T. Thornley , arid acc-ording acc-ording Ito Marshall Anderson, turned and jumped a gate, dragging drag-ging the boy down the street until un-til the horse fell down on the .cement road. The boy was untied by his father. Dr. C. C. Randall of Logan! said the boy received multiple I fractures of the head and body. I He was dead when brought to the Cache Valley General hospital in I Logan. The boy was born in Loga.il Aussat 24, 1929, a son of Benson Ben-son and Eva Dawson Thurnley I He had attended public schools in Smithfield. I Surviving are his parents, twoi sisters and one brother, Lu Dean, Gerald and Annette. Four grandparents; grand-parents; Mr. and Mrs. W. E.
