I He was born July 13, 1863 at' I Smithfield, a son of IFeter and Sena Pufverson Nilson. He was educated in Smithfield schools and was a farmer throughout his life. . For many years he wus a work- j ' er in the Logan LDS temple, was I a high priest in Smithfield LDS stake, served as a ward teacher ' and was interested in genealogy, j He completed two LDS missions ' to Sweden, one when he was 19 ! J years of ege and the second from j 19J6 to 1920. j He married Loretta Miles, October Octo-ber 9, 1885 in the Logan LDS temple. Survivors include three sons and Samul P. Nilson three daughters, S. Ivan and Miles R. Nilson, Mrs. Ruby Hill-yard Hill-yard and Mrs. Fern N. Smith, Smithfield; Mrs. Alta L. Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Richmond, and Wesley P. Nilson, Ogden, 25 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters, Oliver, Amos C, Parley F., and Edgar Nilson, Mrs. Rinda Chambers Cham-bers and Mrs. Elsie Read, Smith-field, Smith-field, Joseph P. and Milo Nilson, Ogden, Eliza Nilson, Logan, James R. Nilson and Mrs. Ella. N. Wright, Salt Lake City. Funeral servces were conducted Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Fourth ward chapel, by Bishop G. L. Rees. The prayer at the home was given by Pres. W. Hazen Hillyard. iPrayers at the chapel were by John P. Toolson and President A. W. Chambers. Speakers were Bishop Bish-op G. L. Rees, Bishop William L. Winn, Bishop W. A. Hansen and Patriarch John H. Peterson. Musical Musi-cal numbers were by the Fourth ward choir, "I Know that My Redeemer Re-deemer Lives," with the solo being be-ing sung by Mrs. Seth Godfrey; vocal solo, ''There Will be Another Ano-ther Morrow," by Mrs. Orson S. Daines of Ogden; quartet, "Come, tome Ye Saints", :by Marion- Rich-ardson Rich-ardson -end company and "Sbide . With Me," by the Choir. 'Dedication of the grave was by S. Ivan Nilson. Prelude tnd post-lude post-lude was by Aileen Van Orden and Eunice and Marva Lou Hillyard. The relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were j Mrs. James R. Nilson and sons Joseph and Trevun, daughter Ellen Frost, Mr. and Mrs. Allison Bills and Mrs. Ella Wright and son Grant Wright and daughter Wanda, Wan-da, Mr. and Mrs. Ferrin Nilson of S3 It Lake City, Mr. Joseph Nilson, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Nilson and Mrs. Orson S. Daines of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Miles, Trenton; Tren-ton; Fern Berkeley, Mrs. Harvey Merrill and daughter Beth, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Christensen - of Logan, Mr. Jed Miles and daughter! daugh-ter!
