Show Young Richmond Woman Dies at Cedar City Funeral services for Mrs. Afton C. Merrill Ford, 24, former Richmond Rich-mond resident, who died suddenly in Cedar City, Saturday night, will be- conducted' " in the Richmond tabernacle Wednesday at 2 p.m. by Erastus Johnson, bishop. Mrs. Ford was enroute to her home in. Santa Ana, California, with her husband and sister when she was stricken. She died soon after she had been taken from the auto to rest. She had been ill several months. The family intended in-tended to move soon from California Califor-nia to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ford was born in Richmond Rich-mond on March 26, 1819, a daugh- ter of G. E. and Maud Clark Merrill Mer-rill He was a graduate of the North Cache high school and L. D. S. seminary and of the L. D. S. business college in Salt Lake City. Active in civic and religious af- fairs, she was a prominent singer and instrumentalist. She was married to James Dar- rell Ford on December 25, 1939. Survivors include her parents, of Richmond; her husband; a daughter, daugh-ter, Chloe Ann Ford; a brother, Edward Merrill of Richmond; a sister, Ruey Merrill of Richmond, and a grandmother, Mrs. O. E. Merrill of Richmond. ' The body will be taken to the home of her parents in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond cemetery under direction of the W. Loyal Hall mortuary of Logan. |
