Employment Service For State Tachers Applications of teachers who are seeking positions for the nexlt school year are being accepted by the Utah State Employment Service, according to Ira C. Cur. tis. manager of the Logan office of the deportment of Placement and Unemployment Insurance. The department entered the teach er placement field a year ago offering a free employment service ser-vice to teachers. Richard R. McGowan, who for several years has been in charge of the Business and Professional Division of the Salt Lake office; of the department, has been1 placed in charge of the teacher! placement work. Under the plan worked out, all teacher files will be centerized in the Salt Lake of- . fice and all referrals will be made' by Mr. McGowan. J A systematic canvass of all teacher hiring authorities in the state is being made, Mr. Curtis j said. ' Teachers will be expected to furnish an . official transcript- of credits, six photographs, and the usual amount of information as to experience, special training, and a certain number of references. refer-ences. -All of this information will be complied into an assembly, six copies of which will be made. These assemblies will then be sent to various superintendents inquiring for teachers.
