The human race seems headed for a perdition, according ac-cording to them. If we are ever to have a better world, that happy state of society will not be brought about primarily by wars and laws. It will come because individuals indi-viduals the world over decide to live better lives and be fair and honest. Armies and navies will help in the present emergency emer-gency to put down the men who make trouble in the world. It may be possible for the United States government govern-ment to induce the nations of Europe and Asia to avoid some policies that keep the world in turmoil In the main there will not be a satisfactiry world unless un-less people get new ideas about the conduct of their own : lives. The troubles of the world spring from the spirit of selfishness, the grasping spirit, the unwillingness to hand out justice, the disposition of people to avoid their share of the labors of life, the effort of people to get something for nothing, and many more attitudes and habits that throw sand into the machine of welfare. The place for everyone to begin work for a better world is in his own family and home town. If he treats everyone every-one with justice, kindness, and generosity, he has done something toward making that better world. A 1. Medical examination 2. Written examination. ,3. Physical test. 4.
