Show College Student Gets Position With Utility Co. Mont Kenney of Cedar City,.' senior class president at Utah State Agricultural college, has accepted ac-cepted a position in the accounting department of the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph company m salt lipase w-y, v Wanlass, aean of the school of commerce, announced Friday. Mr. Kenney finished requirements require-ments for graduation with the class of 1941 during winter quarter, quar-ter, Dr. Wanlass said. The senior prexy who only last week was elected a member of Phi Kappa Phi, national honorary scholastic society at the college, will receive re-ceive his Bachelor of Science degree de-gree in accounting at commencement commence-ment exercises m June, Dr. Wan- lass added. Coming to the college from the Millard County high school at Fillmore, Kenney won the National Future Farmers of America pub-1 pub-1 lie speaking contest his freshman year. He spent his second year at Branch Agricultural college in Cedar City where he served as debate manager. He returned to Utah State in 1939 after serving a two-year- mission for the L. D. S. cnurcn. His activities since then include membership in Alpha Kappa Psi, hnsiness fraternity, Delta Phi, returned missionary fraternity, frater-nity, and Blue Key, national men's service fraternity, serving as presL dent of that group during the past year. At the annual Rocky Mountain Speech conference at Denver in February, Kenney won second place sweepstake honors, placing second only Raymond Kimball of Kanosh, another Aggie Ag-gie entry. |
