Show EXTRA LABOR HEEDED IN BEET FIELDS Extra labor is needed at this time to catch up with the thinning thin-ning of sugar beets. Recent storms have delayed thinning of the early ear-ly beets until now all beets are ready and it appears that the number of thinners is a little short. Cooperation of all families is asked, ask-ed, and particularly all boys and girls who can and are interested In making some money are requested re-quested to register at the employment employ-ment office at 53 E. 1st North in Logan. There are probably many boys in Logan past 14 years of age who could find employment In the sugar beet fields at this time. Their services are needed and for this work they can make 'good wages. ' The county land use planning; , committee has appointed a special committee to assist with the labor problem. They are W. A. Budge, local manager of the Amalgamated Sugar Company, A. W. Chambers. Smithfield. and Andrew Nelson. College Ward. The purpose of this committee is to keep in touch with the labor situation and to make any recommendations for labor to the state planning committee. com-mittee. This committee is desirous of having the full cooperation of everyone in order that the crops may be properly handled in Cache County this year. |
