Show New Faculty To Teach U. S. A. C. Classes -' Appearing as a member Of the visiting faculty at the Utah State Agricultural college 1941 summer session to teach courses In education edu-cation will be Dr. Paul Misner, superintendent of schools at Glencoe, Glen-coe, Illinois, and Dr. John L. Chllds, professor of education at Teachers college, Columbia university, uni-versity, it was announced Thursday. Thurs-day. . "In an attempt to balance the need for meeting practical situations sit-uations in education and the need for long range planning the college has Invited its summer persons particularly strong in each of these aspects of the educational edu-cational program," summer session ses-sion authorities commented upon the selection of Dr. Chllds and Dr. Misner. Dr. Misner, who is also al-so a lecturer at Northwestern university, uni-versity, is very well known by Utah educators. "His popularity as a lecturer on educational topics top-ics has placed him In constant demand In educational gatherings," Dr. E. A. Jacobsen, dean of the school of education at the college, commented. Also very popular on the lecture lec-ture platform as well as in the classroom is Dr. Childs, who is one of America's leading educational educa-tional philosophers, Dr. Jacobsen said. "His keen insight into current cur-rent social and educational problems prob-lems will make his contribution to Utah education particularly vital," vi-tal," added Dr. Jacobsen. |
