Show INFLUENZA TAKES HEEEII CHRISTENSEN TO MAI REST Mrs. Helen V. Christensen, wife of George J. Christensen of this city, died at her home Sunday evening, March 30th, after more than a week's illness with Influenza. Mrs. Christensen was the daughter of Mrs. Amelia Olson, and was born at Austin, Nevada, February 14, 1888, where she spent the early years of her life. She was married to George J. Christensen of this city on July 11, 1914, and has made Mt. Pleasant her home most of the time since then. Her father died at Austin Aus-tin Nevada three years ago and since that time Mrs. Olson has lived with her daughter. Mrs. Christensen is survived by her husband, her mother, and two brothers, Bert M. Olson, and O. C. Olson of Salt Lake City. The two brothers came down from Salt Lake City last Friday and were at their sister's bedside until the end came. " Funeral services were held at the residence Monday at 4 o'clock p. m., Bishop A. E. Mcintosh presiding. Members of the ward choir were present and sang the hymns, "Beautiful "Beau-tiful Isle," "The Lord is My Shepherd" Shep-herd" and "Nearer My God To Thee." Prayers were offered by Elders C. L. Stewart' and C. Johansen. Johan-sen. A beautiful sermon was preached preach-ed by President A. Merz, and Bishop A. E. Mcintosh, dedicated the grave at the city cemetery. The floral offerings 'were many and beautiful, showing the high esteem in which Mrs. Christensen was held by her many friends in this city. Out of town people who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs." Bert M. Olsen and O. C. Olson of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jensen and Mr. and Mis. C. B. Chi'is-tensen Chi'is-tensen of Moroni, and Charles Christensen, who came over from Price. |
