Show MOTHER OF EIGHT CHILDREN IS TAKEN WITHJNFLUENZA Funeral Services For Mrs. Angelo Christem-en Held Sunday Afternoon. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Christensen, age 38 years, wife of Angelo Christensen of this city, were held Sunday, March 30th at 2 o'clock in front of the family home. Bishop H. C. Jacobs presiding. The ward choir was present and i furnished appropriate hymns, among , which were "Jesus Lover of My ; Soul," "I Need Thee Every Hour" i and "Oh My Father." The opening ! prayer was offered by Bishop A. E. Mcintosh. President C. N. Lund, 1 President A. Merz and Bishop H. C. Jacobs were the speakers. Many 3 consoling words of .sympathy were expressed during the services. The closing prayer was offered by Elder C. W. Sorensen and the grave at the city cemetery was dedicated by Elder Thomas West. Many beautiful fiow- era were given by relatives and friends of the family. Mrs. Christensen died Friday, March 28th. after a week's illness ! with Influenza. She is the daughter ; of Mrs. Ida C. Fechser and was born j Uune 10, 1880. She was married to Angelo Christensen on December 24, 1903. Mrs. Christensen is survived by flier husband and eight children, . most of whom have been ill with the j disease. The oldest son, Theodore, is 15 years of age. The other child-j child-j ren are Kenneth, , Bernice, Earl, I s Irene, Maiben, Evan and Ralph, who is only nine monihs old. She is also survived by the following brothers and s'sters: Mrs. Sarah F. Jensen of Muay, Mrs. Ida Carlson, deceased" de-ceased" Mrs. Frank Carlson, Mrs. A. O. Madsen of this city, J. Fred Fechser Fech-ser of Provo, James C. Fechser of Moroni, Mrs. E. A. Hansen and Hy-rum Hy-rum Fechser of Salt Lake City, and I Mrs. Andrew Sorensen of Mt. Pleasant. Pleas-ant. Those who came here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. James C. Fechser, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Black-ham, Black-ham, Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Christensen, all of Moroni, and Hyrum Fechser of Salt Lake City. The services were " well attended. Mrs. Christensen was a kind and """ lovable mother. She was highly re-) re-) spected as a church worker and a kind neighbor. Her death is one of the sad incidents which has occured in our community this year. |
