J Mrs. Matilda Buchanan went to Salt Lake City last week, having been t called there by the illness of her son, I Albert Mower, who had Influenza. j Fairview city has been under strict 'r quarentine since November 1. Tran-t Tran-t sienfs are not allowed to stop or do business and all trains are met awd those coming into town are placed under quarentine. Persons visiting other towns are interned for four days after their return, and are not allowed to mingle with the people. Special police and the board of health are kept busy enforcing these regulations. regu-lations. Mrs. Mary Spence Mills, wife of Lewis Mills, died October 31 at .the L. D. S. hospital of pneumonia following fol-lowing Influenza. She was brought to Fairview for burial. A short service ser-vice was held at the Fairview cemetery. ceme-tery. C. L. Pritchett and Bishop H. P. Hansen were the speakers who spoke well of her and offered sym-jpathy sym-jpathy and consolation to those bereaved. be-reaved. Her husband and her mother, moth-er, Mrs. John Naylor, and John Nay-lor Nay-lor accompanied theremains from Salt Lake City. Mrs. Mills leaves her husband and an eight month old daughter, and many relatives and friends to mourn her loss. She was born at Mt. Pleasant, but lived at Mammoth most of her life. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ellis Coombs, Miss Mae Madsen, H. P. Hansen amd Henry Terry, who sang four quar-tetts. quar-tetts. Frank Larsen of Fairview, now working In Schofleld, received the following fol-lowing word on a post card from his brother, Lawrence E. Larsen, who Is with the American Expeditionary Forces in France: "Fiiti got me and I am now receiving treatment in an American hospital In France. Will write you the full particulars later." The card was dated Oct. 7, 1918. Lawrence is the son of Mrs. Mary V. Larsen and has been In the service since early last Bpring. |
