Show Couple Celebrate Golden, Wedding Mr. and Mr. Qhr.jsta.n Johansen Johan-sen celeUValesi their golden wedding wed-ding at the home of their son, James C. Johahnsen Wednesday evening. A family dinner for 32 guests was followed by a program of music, mu-sic, songs, readings and reminiscent reminis-cent talks. Christian Johansen, retired furniture fur-niture dealer, farmer and carpenr ter, was born January 21, 1859, in Hassery Aalborg, Denmark, a son of Neils and Christena Johansen. He came to Utah In John Murdochs Mur-dochs Company in 1862, locating in Lehi. He came to Mt. Pleasant In 1865. He has been active in both church and civic affairs. Mrs. Annie C. Johansen, daughter daugh-ter of pioneer parents, James, and Stena Christensen Harljro, was born in " tlis gity, November 7. 1864. " She has also been actively engaged en-gaged in church work, sewing more than SO years as a Relief society teacher, and for some years president presi-dent of the Primary association. The couple were married March 15, 1883, in the Endowment; Hoije by Daniel H. Wells,. " "" They were, tli' parents of three children. James Elmer, a son, was electrocuted at the public school, of which he was principal, eleven years ago. One son, James C. . Johansen, and four grandchildren are living. |
