Show Chicago Wedding Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Stedman and their daughters, Winnifred and Rose Edith, returned to Mt. Pleasant July 3 from Chicago, where they participated in the wedding of Frederick Jensen Stedman, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Stedman, to Marilyn Page Fox in the Fourth Presbyterian Church in that city, on June 28. The bride was charming in a gown of white slipper satin, fashioned in princess style with lace insets in the gores, with fitted waistline and full skirt. Her fingertip veil of bride's illusion illu-sion was caught in a cornet of seed pearls. Sweetheart neckline of the bride's dress was trimmed with a matching seed pearl brooch. Leg-o-mutton sleeves, with lace insets, completed the picture. The new Mrs. Stedman carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley during the double ring ceremony. Wearing identical Marian models mod-els of aqua eyelet pique were the matron of honor, Mrs. Page Gos-sard Gos-sard of San Francisco, and the bridesmaids, Mrs. William Demand De-mand of Chicago, Miss Winifred Stedman, Mt. Pleasant, Utah, and Miss Rose Edith Stedman, Los Angeles, California. Each wore a string of pearls. They wore coronets of shell pink carnations car-nations and carried matching shower bouquets made of the same flowers. Best man for the bridegroom was George Persons of Elyria, Ohio, and ushers were Frank Corrigan, St. Louis, Missouri Mis-souri and Gene Adkins, Tulsa, Oklahoma. The men in the bridal brid-al party wore white tuxedos, with maroon ties and boutennieres. The bride's mother, Mrs. Page Cox, wore a model of purple and white crepe with matching picture pic-ture hat. Her corsage was of gardenias. Mother of the bridegroom, bride-groom, Mrs. C. W. Stedman, was gowned in a dress of orchid lace and net, with matching flower trimmed hat. Her corsage was of symbodium lilies. Following the wedding, a reception re-ception for several hundred guests was held at the Ambassador Ambassa-dor Hotel, which was decorated with baskets of wnite lilies, snap dragons, and gladioli. The just-weds just-weds are honeymooning at Mackinaw Mack-inaw Island, Michigan before returning to Chicago to make their home. For her going away costume, Mrs. Stedman chose a teal blue gabardine suit, with white accessories, accented with a corsage of orchids. |
