Show "Ttvna City ; Mrs. Jensen's Biography Is Given; Birthday Mrs. Christine Jensen Strat with her family and friends ob served her eighty-first birthda-Sunday, birthda-Sunday, March 5. She was born at Viele, Denmark in 1869. Her parents Niels P. Jensen and Ellen Marie Rasmussen Jensen Jen-sen joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before be-fore they came here. They came to Utah and arrived in Spring City in 1875 with their four children, Laura Petersen of Fairview, Mrs. Mena Carlson Mrs. Strate and Daniel Jensen of Spring City, all of whom are living. They have helped build the community from the small town when they arrived here. When Mrs. Strate was in her teens she worked in Salt Lake city for several of the early settlers in eluding Brigham Young's fam ily. She remembers the days before be-fore electric lights. She went to the Manti Temple dedication and was asked to come there to work the following follow-ing day. She worked in the kitchen and did considerable ordinance work. She was therr from 1888 to 1894. She lived at the Temple and was well acquainted ac-quainted with the first threr presidents, Daniel H. Wells. Ar tone H. Lund and John D. T McAllister. She was married February 14 1894 to Rasmus Strate by President Presi-dent McAllister. Mr. Strate died in 1914. She is the mother o' six sons and two daughters, al' living. They are: Mabert Stra'e Everett Strate, Rulon Strata Mack Strate, Mrs. Christie Borland Borl-and Miss Geneva Strate, ? City; Don Strate, Sacramento. As the Spring City ward con-iribution con-iribution to the annual North Sanpete Stake MIA road show held Tuesday evening in the ward recreation hall, the operetta oper-etta "Dizzy Baton" was presented by Wallace Allred, Blake Allred, Robert Schofield, Bernell Scho-field, Scho-field, Farrell McKinney and John R. Baxter Jr. The operetta was conducted by E. B. Terry and the Terrianette girls chorus assisted as-sisted with the presentation of the Spring City ward number. The other wards of the stake gave numbers for the show. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Larsen and boys, Larry and David visited vis-ited Sunday at the home of their parents,-Bishop and Mrs. Reid H. Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Allred of Manti visited with relatives in this city. They were happy tc announce the birth of a new grandson. The baby was born February 16 to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Allred of Salt Lake city. Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Anderson nf Springville attended the birthday birth-day anniversary Thursday of their mother, Mrs. Charlotte Schofield. Also present at the birthday was Mrs. Mark Schofield Scho-field of Magna. Mrs. Angus Black has returned home after a weeks visit in Salt Lake city with Mr. and ! Mrs. Clinton Black and children. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Larsen of California with Mr. and Mrs. Neve Mortensen, Mrs. Leroy Christensen and Mrs. Lenorc Andreason of Provo visited the ! past week with relatives in this city. Mr and Mrs. Lee Allred ol Dragerton spent the weekend a their home here. Lila Lee Dahl and a lady friend fo Salt Lake city visited with Mrs. Bertha Blain over the weekend.
