Show INDIAN WAR VETERAN ENCAMPMENT. ENCAMP-MENT. State Vice Commander, Virgil Kelly and Comrade William Black of Des-eret, Des-eret, went over to Oak City a few-days few-days ago to arrange for the annual encampment en-campment of the veterans of the department de-partment of Millard, of which Comrade Com-rade Kelly Is commander-in-chief. Comrad Kelly tells the editor that the people of Oak City with their usual hospitality are enthusiastic over the plan of having the encampment there and will do everything for the veterans and their frlnds to make It a success. The date of the encampment encamp-ment will be the 6th, 7th and 8th of September when there Is plenty of fruit and iho"farmTS and their families have time for an outing. The well shaded park will afford an excellent ex-cellent place for the camps and camp fires, and the people of Oak City will provide leed for all the teams of the veterans and give everybody a most hospitable welcome. Committees on sports and entertainment, commissary, commis-sary, etc. have been appointed, and 3 royal time is anticipated. About 2000 people from all over the county attended the encampment at Fillmore last year and (here should be fully as large an attendance at Oak City this year. Everybody should arrange their work so as to enjoy this annual outing. The old veterans are growing fewer every year and the last of them will not be with us many years longer. Come out and enjoy yourselves with them while you have the opportunity. The Chronicle will keep Its readers Informed as to the plans being made lor entertainment, etc. |
