Show To Hold Services Friday For lames Thompson James Ferdinand Thompson, 73 Oasis resident tor many years' died Monday, Oct. 6, at 11 p.m at the home .of a daughter, Mrs! Inez Kelly, at Oasis. i He was born August 27, 1879 in' Norway, a son of Chris and Karen Christensen Thompson. He came to 1 the United States at the age of lUfl Q 1 IT- 3 .1 jean, una ine family moved to Oasis when he was a small boy. His life had been lived in and around Oasis except for ten years spent in Townsend, Montana, where he was engaged in mining. He farmed and was employed oiv the railroad as section foreman and carpenter. He was married June 28, 1898 to Elizabeth Reid, at . Oasis, where they made their home. Mrs. Thorn p son died there in 1938. Survivors are four sons, Leonard Leon-ard J. Thompson, of Helena, Mont; Ralph F. and John C. Thompson, of. Townsend, Mont.; Louis J. Thompson, of Lynndyl; two daugh ters, Mrs. Beth Hulbert, Los Angeles, Angel-es, Cal; and Mrs. Inez Kelly, Oasis. One sister, Mrs. Clara Hall, Washington; Wash-ington; 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandohildren. Funeral services will be conducted conduc-ted Friday at 2 p.m. in Oasis ward chapel by Bishop Peter H. Peterson. Peter-son. Friends may call at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly Friday Fri-day from 10 a.m. until time of services. ser-vices. Burial will be in the Oasis cemetery cem-etery under direction of L. N. Nickle and Sons mortuary. |
