Show Final Rites Held Saturday For Hinckley Mother Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen I. E. Stanworth, 81, who died Tuesday Tues-day at midnight, were conducted Saturday at 1 p. m. in Hinckley LDS ward chapel by Bishop Walter Wal-ter Ekins. Prelude music was played by Mrs. Ruth Talbot. A trio of piano, organ and violin "Oh, My Father" was played by Mrs. Olive Barney, Mrs. Thelma Black and Mrs. Norma Nor-ma Hannifin. The invocation was offered by Leonard Palmer. Hinckley ward choir sang "My Father Knows". The Desert Sentinel quartet of Layton Bishop, Eldon Sorenson, Janus Wright and Ladd Cropper, sang, "I Need Thee Every Hour". A tribute to her grandmother, "Come in from the Garden, Grandma" Grand-ma" was read by Colleen Leany, of Lehi. Mrs. Ethel Western and daughter, Janice, sang, "Rocking Along in An Old Rocking Chair". Evan Gardner was the speaker and paid tribute to Mrs. Stanworth as one whose long life had been lived in service to others, and as a pioneer and early settler she had contributed greatly in her community. Ladd Cropper sang "My Mom". A vocal trio, "In The Garden", was sung by Mrs. Thelma Black, Mrs. Deonna Black and Mrs. Norma Nor-ma Hannifin. They were accompanied accom-panied at the piano , by Ardyth Twitchell. Mrs. Elaine Dekker read a tribute Mrs. Stanworth that she had composed. com-posed. The closing song was a vocal solo, "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose", by Mrs. Erma Cropper. The closing prayer was given by Melvin Webb. Burial was in the Hinckley cemetery, ceme-tery, where the grave was dedicated dedic-ated by Alma Western. |
