Show MEADOW. A. E. Gull, Chronicle Representative. A number of our young people attended at-tended the M. I. Conference at Kanosh last Saturday and Sunday. All report having had an enjoyable time. On March 1st the children of II. H. Dennett gathered at his home to celebrate cele-brate his birthday. Ilro. Hennett Is eighty-eight years old. and Is enjoying better health than for some time, lie took a lively part in tho amusements of the evening, and sung and recited several pieces. May he yet live to enjoy many more happy birthdays. Tho young people enjoyed themselves them-selves In a dance last Friday night. This seems to be the only amusement here this winter. The winter has almost al-most passed and we have not had a theatre of any description. What's the matter young people? We notice the wonderful Rook of Mormon play "Cor-lanton" "Cor-lanton" has been exhibited In a number num-ber of our neighboring towns. What's the matter with Meadow? We like good clean plays. Mr. and Mrs. Knrl H. Scovil of Canada Can-ada who have been vi.sltlng relatives and friends left here Sunday for their home. Mrs. Duncan Stewart's mother of New York Is here paying her daughter a visit. Mrs. J. H. Grear Is In Meadow visiting visit-ing her parents and friends. We are now having a spell of fine weather. The snow has gone and the ground Is fast becoming dry. An epidemic of croup and severe colds seems to be affecting both young und old In this locality, especially the children. Dr.'Stevens of Fillmore was culled to the home of J. S. Ilrunson; tt Is reported that their little four-year-old boy has a severe case of croup. John Gull Is also on the sick list, having hav-ing contracted a severe cold. John D. Itushnell Is again here after spending a few days with his family at Heaver. County Assessor Leslie George ol Kanosh was In town lust week doing assessing business. The barber shop or J. S. Ilrunson was moved over to Charles Swallow's a few days ago. |
