Two weeks ago In the Chronicle the Oak City correspondent expressed hi gratitude In behalf of the people of Oak City for the little explanation of how we were going to keep our school house clean. We, the people of Leamington, Leam-ington, feel to rejoice with the Oak City correspondent, their tulnda have hern relieved hy this explanation. W it are glad we have your sympathy, hut I don't know that we have any serious trouble for you to worry about at pre-etit, pre-etit, no you may rent easy during the holidays. LEAMINGTON. Alma M. Harder, Chronicle Represents. Represen-ts. We are glad to welcome home the boys anil girls who have been away to school. Their presence Is an Inspiration Inspira-tion to the community. Mr. Miller and Architect Watklns were here Friday night to receive the school building. The workmanship was satisfactory In every respect. The Hanson sisters of Abraham are visiting with the Stout family In Learn Ington. Why? For the same reason that the Stout boys go to Abraham. Mr. Jack More of Silver City spent Christmas with us. lie tries to make It appear that he Is interested In a mine near Leamington, but I believe it Is a farm. Miss liar! a Nielson can tell about It. We regret having to report the death of the two-week old child of Mr. and Mrs. G. II. Nielson. The child was ail ing for about a week and the funeral services were held at the home of the parents on December 2-lrd. An old folks party was given on the 2.1 rd. A program was rendered In the meeting bouse at 3 o'clock, and a good w arm supper at S o'clock, followed by a dance at night. Some of the II. Y. U. students attended. AH seemed to have an enjoyable time. Christmas eve wis rclebrv- on Monday night. An Interesting program wa rendered by tho Sunday School, after which there wa a dance Everybody seemed to have the spirit of the season. Dances, roast chicken 1 |
