Show TOWN BOARD BURNS THE MIDNIGHT OIL SPECIAL MEETINGS ARE REQUIRED ON CIVIC PROJECTS A special meeting of the town board was held at the city clerk's office last Friday evening, at which time, a rough estimate of the cost of putting in an ornamental street lighting system was figured. Assisting the members of the board with their figures fig-ures was L. R. Fournier, local manager man-ager for the Telluride Power company. com-pany. The board decided upon fifteen ornamental or-namental lights, seven of which will be placed in the long block on lower MJain, and four in each of the two blocks immediately north. v Lamps of four hundred candle-power candle-power were decided upon as being best for the purpose, with iron posts rather than concrete as being best adapted for use here. The outside figure arrived at, and which the board is working to in their proceedings, is $2,500. A closer estimate esti-mate was gained later this week, when a telegram was sent to a company com-pany engaged in the manufacture of the posts, asking their figures. Full details as to the specifications will be found elsewhere in this issue, embodied in a legal notice. |
