Show in Mcmoriam. Sister Wilhelmena Christofferson, was born January 1, 182R, Bredston, Yellamt, Denmark, and was baptised into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints in 1853 by E. Anderson, and emigrated to Utah in 1857. In the fall of the same year she was married toSoren Christofferson. At the age of 44 years gave birth to her only child, a daughter, which lived only a few days. She has been a sufferer for about six years, and since last October has been confined to her bed, until finally on the 17th of March, 1892 she peacef nliy passed away. She was a faithfnl Latter-day-saint, and her doors were always open to the poor and friendless. She leaves a husband, six sisters and fonr brothers to mourn her loss, also a boast of friends and relatives who will miss her kind advice and charity. The funeral services were conducted at the tabernacle to-day at 2 p. m. During the last weeks of her life the lady wrote the following in Dani-b, her natii e tongue, to be nsed after her death. It has been translated by a friend: Farwell, my dear husband! Farwell, my brothers, my sisters aud tfriendp who are left behind! Monru not for me for I am well and safe. I have found rest in God, my Father's kingdom There we shall all meet again some day never more to rait. I am now free from sickness, sorrow and trouble, that I have suffered whilo in this world, lly body will be laid in the cold grave., where it will be safely kept until the resurrection day. |
