Show DREAMS---A Song. A dream of delight that fled, And a dream of delight that came; The fire of one grew cold and dead - But the other was living flame! One seemed forever lost, Vanished for all the years; Drifting the soul was tempest-tost, On the salt sea of tears. But in the darkest hour The dream of delight drew near, Shining again in unrivaled power, It rose to the soul more clear. A dream of delight that fled And a dream of delight that came; The fire of one grew cold and dead - But the other was living flame- E. B. Russell |
