Show THE COURT BOILS POTATOES.-Proceedings at the Brighton court, Eng., [England] were recently diversified by the cooking of some potatoes in court by direction of the judge. A wholesale potato merchant was sued for potatoes alleged to be of a different kind from those ordered. The judge, after examining both samples, felt it necessary to cook specimens of each. The cooked potatoes were eaten in court, the result being that the judge was satisfied as to the quality of the condemned potatoes, and the verdict was for the defendant. |
