Today is the last day of registration. It will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 315 of up on - For 24 hours straight, the n students of North Lay-toJunior High were involved with a Read-I- n at the school. The event the Weber Community EducatioJlService Center and from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Roy Junior High School. Registration will also be allowed on the first night of each class. Evening classes offered this quarter include English composition, psychology, grammar, math, bookkeepingtype, reading, business machinestype, history and science. The servide center will also be offering evening classes as well as its regular agenda of daytime classes. Evening classes include GED preparation, drivers education and high school English, math and history. The courses offered will be terminated in the second week of class if there is insufficient enrollment to pay for the classes. Information is available by calling the Weber or the Roy Vocational High School at Junior High School at en- couraged students to increase reading skills and find new Three Accept Calls To Serve Missions Three young men in the lakeside area will serve missions for the LDS Church. They are Elder Todd B. Flitton, Elder Michael Charles Bouy, and Elder Ricky S. Savage. They will all speak in their home wards this Sunday. Elder Ricky S. Savage, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Savage of 2896 E. Gentile, Layton, has accepted a call to serve a LDS mission to the Taiwan Taichung Mission. He will enter the mission training center in Provo on Dec. 3. His farewell will be held on Sunday in the Layton 21st Ward Chapel, 1410 E. Mwhappens Students of Month LAYTON Students of the Month for October at North Layton Junior High are Dan Bankhead and Cathy Nielsen. Cathy, 14, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nielsen. Her interests include sports and music. Her favorite sport is softball, and the musical instrument she likes best is the piano, Which she has played for six years. Presently she is learning to play trumpet. Dan, 14, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Clair Bankhead, also of Layton.
