Show Funeral Services Are Held for 9 Myrtle Ward Burt Funeral services were held on Monday at 2 p. m. In the Beaver Second LDS Ward chapel for Mrs. Myrtle Ward Burt, 66, wife of La ban Burt. Mrs. Burt died Thursday Thurs-day morning in the Iron County Hospital. Mrs. Burt was born In Parowan Sept. 17, 1895, to Edward Parker Park-er and Mary Stevens Ward, and was a resident of this city until her marriage to Mr. Burt, which took place April 5, 1916 In the Salt Lake Temple of the LDS Church. She v.as active In LDS church woi'k In Beaver, and was a member mem-ber of the American Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary and was a Gold Star mother moth-er of that unit Surviving are her husband, of Beaver; a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Ruth) Dotson, Mine'rsville; five grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren. greatgrand-children. Also surviving are four brothers and two sisters, all of Parowan, Joseph E., Clair, George and Chester Ward. Mrs. Pearl Russell and Mrs. Belle Lemmon. The prayer at the Burt home In Beaver was offered by Ruben Dotson and the services opened with a song by a ladles trio consisting con-sisting of Carol and Nell Smith, and Sandra Dewsnlp. Invocation was offered by James Morgan. A tribute to the deceased was given by Susie Beeson, the obituary obit-uary was given by F. C Van Bu-ren Bu-ren and the third speaker was Howard Bradshaw with Bishop Rex Carter, who conducted, making mak-ing closing remarks. Mary Ann Bradshaw played "O My Father" as an organ solo and the ladies trio sang the closing clos-ing song. Spencer W. Lemmon offered the benediction and the grave in the Mountain View Cemetery was dedicated by Joseph E. Ward. |
