Show Delta Kappa Gamma, Xi Chapter, recently initiated new members. New members initiated CEDAR CITY - Xi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, international society for women educators, has initiated 11 new members, it was announced by Lana Johnson, membership chairman. Those who have recently joined the organization are Donna Benson, Sandra Benson, Bobette Clark, Christie Jensen, Christine Mathews, Carol Ann Nyman, Rebecca Pearson, Nancy Stringham, Joyce Slack, Kathrine Whittikiend and Nancy Wilson. Membership in Delta Kappa Gamma is by special invitation and is based upon criteria developed by the. International In-ternational Membership Committee of the society. Those selected must have taught in a professional capacity for five or more years after formal training as professional educators in accredited institutions of higher learning. Educators who serve in administrative positions after fulfilling the teaching requirement are also eligible. At the time of inititation, the can didates must be actively employed in the required positions. .,, The aims of the society are to provide ongoing educational and developmental training opportunities for its membership through chapter programs featuring authoritative speakers and panelists, through state conventions and workshops, and through international meetings designed to enchance the professional effectiveness ef-fectiveness of women educators. |
