Show T-birds high in poll CEDAR CITY There is agreement between the basketball coaches of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the media personnel who cover the RMAC that Southern Utah State College and University of Southern Colorado will be fighting it out for the league championship. Both polls pick Southern Colorado to finish first by an eyelash over SUSC. In the coaches poll, the Indians received 77 points, while Southern Utah picked up 75 points. Media members mem-bers gave Southern Colorado 513 points and the Thunderbirds 504 points. Regis was picked to finish third by both groups. The coaches say Mesa and Western New Mexico will tie for fourth. Media people say Mesa will finish fourth and WNM fifth. After the first five, the two groups didn't agree on anything, not even on which team would finish last. The media say New Mexico Highlands; the coaches think, Adams State. |
