Show Leadership changes CEDAR CITY - The southern Utah chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, the fraternity for professional educators recently changed leadership. Quenton Bowler, president for 1981-82 handed over reins to Paul Burgoyne, president for 1982-83. Kent Peterson, president-elect, will serve as president for the 1983-84 year. Phi Delta Kappa, with a membership of 57 local educators, meets at least six times per year. This year began in September, 1981, with a get acquainted social; a January initiation dinner; din-ner; a February informal meeting with Dr. Terry Alger, academic vice president of Southern Utah State College as guest speaker, followed by a March presentation by Dr. Gerald Sherratt, president of SUSC; and April election dinner at Cedar High School; and culminated with a May panel discussion on teaching featuring Dr. Kent Myers, SUSC; Carolyne White, SUSC, and Doug Bonzo, Cedar High School. |
