Show Nuotial rites unite Lawrence, Butler Pickrell, Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Shelley, Mr. and Mrs, John McGarry, Mrs. Miriam McGarry, Mrs. Laura Tichenor, and the Butler family attended from the Escalante Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Foster, grandparents grand-parents of the groom were there from Clearfield, Utah. On June 15, the groom's parents honored the newly weds with an Open House in the Escalante Valley. Out-of-town guests at the Open House included in-cluded Dr. and Mrs. Leroy Thomas from Phoenix. Dr. Thomas is head of the Bible Department at Southwestern College. John and Sandra McGarry assisted in receiving guests at the Open House. Mrs. Dwight Foster and Mrs. Miriam McGarry presided at the refreshment table. Velma Hicks and Luella Bowler were in charge of the gift room. Laura Tichenor sat at the guest book. Jo Ann Clark, Wendy Wood, and Susan Pedersen assisted with serving. John and Tami Butler are making their home in Phoenix where Tami will continue her studies at Southestern College. BUTLER Tamara Kay Lawrence, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Lawrence of Pueblo, Colorado, and John F. Butler, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Gene Butler, were united in holy matrimony in the Pueblo Baptist temple on June 8. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Vera A. Pickrell, Pastor of the Beryl Baptist Church, lie was assisted by Dr. Cecil McCleod of the Pueblo Church. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a white satin gown trimmed with touches of pale blue. Her attendants wore dresses of pale blue printed with delicate white daisies. Sue Beck, sister of the bride, was matron of honor; bridesmaid was Sheri Brach; Jim Butler was best man; groomsman was David Peck; flower girl was Tracy White; ring bearer was Timmy Murphy. Ushers were John McGarry, Jim Beck, and Aaron Lawrence, soloists were Charles Hickman and Jim Butler. Pianists were Mrs. Miriam McGarry and Mrs. Evelynn White. The bride was given in marriage by her father; as they approached the altar, she plucked a single yellow rose from her bouquet and presented it to her mother. As she left the altar on the arm of the groom she gave a single yellow rose from her bouquet to the groom's mother. A reception followed the ceremony in the Church Parlor. Judi Shaw and Linda Mosier presided at the refreshment table. Donna Houser and Debbie Ice were in charge of gifts. Patty Butler kept the gift book.
