JOHN RAYMOND SIMKINS bridegroom will graduate from the University of Utah this I spring, where he is majoring I in business and recreation and plans to continue in his studies stud-ies for another year. John was honored as the "most valuable" player in the LDS All-Church basketball tournament in 1966, playing on the two-time winning North 33rd Ward team from Salt Lake City. John Simkins Takes Bride in Salt Lake City Ceremony In a wedding recemony which took place on Friday, March 17, Miss Drusilla Jean Dewey of Salt Lake City became be-came the bride of John Raymond Ray-mond Simkins formerly of Parowan, who is now a resident resi-dent of Salt Lake City. The marriage rites took place at I L. S. Skaggs Memorial Chapel with Claude C. McQuiddy, Church of Christ minister, officiating. of-ficiating. That evening a reception in honor of the newlyweds was : hosted by the parents of the l bride, Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Dewey of 673 Meadow Lane, Salt Lake City. This was held at the Carillon Reception Center, Cen-ter, Bountiful from 8 to 10 p. Im. The new Mr. and Mrs. Sim-kins Sim-kins will be further honor- I ed at an open house on Sat- I urday, March 25 between the hours of 8 and 10 p. m. in the Parowan Library Lounge. This event will be hosted by the parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Simkins. .The bride graduated from j Stevens Henager Business College Col-lege in 1962, and is a member iof the Church of Christ.
