RICHARD WILLIAM GRIMSHAW Charlotte Carter Becomes Bride In Temple Rites The St. George LDS Temple was the setting for the wedding wed-ding Friday, March 10, of Miss Charlotte Ruth Carter and Richard William Grimshaw. President Rudgar C. Atkin officiated during the double-ring double-ring ceremony. A wedding luncheon at the Sugar Loaf Cafe honored the couple after vows were spoken. Hosts for this event were the parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Grimshaw. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Carter, honored their daughter and new son-in-law at a reception that evening from eight until ten o'clock at the Seventh-Ninth Ward Cultural Hall in Cedar Ce-dar City. The bride wore a white floor-length dress of bonded crepe with lace applique around the bodice and center of the skirt. The train of crepe with v matching lace added back interest to the gown. The dress was designed and handmade hand-made by the bride and her mother. A shoulder-length veil of sheer Illusion fell from a lace headpiece adorned with tiny seed pearls. The bridal bouquet featured an orchid center, that was later detached detach-ed to serve as a corsage on the going-away dress, stephonotis and streamers In a cascading style. Bridal attendants included Mrs. Richard Woodbury as matron ma-tron of honor, Miss Frances Or-ton Or-ton as maid of honor and Mrs. Blair . Mitchell, Mrs. Robert Hall, Miss Chris Gulliford and Mrs. Brent Hatch as bridesmaids. brides-maids. They were all dressed alike in empire waist gowns of blue and green brocade. They acrried nosegays made of white carnations and green streamers matching their dresses. Best man was Alan N. (Bud) Garfield. Ushers were brothers broth-ers of the bride, Michael, Boyd, John Russell Carter, and brothers bro-thers of the bridegroom, Ar-len, Ar-len, Steven and Alan Grimshaw. Grim-shaw. The bride's mother wore a green two-piece dress with a white corsage. Mother of the bridegroom was dressed in a blue suit with a white corsage. cor-sage. For her going-away dress, the bride selected a flowered three-piece suit. Th couple will honeymoon in southern California. j Assisting at the reception for the couple were Carol Sim-kins Sim-kins and Sandra Peterson at the guest book, with Evelyn Rich, Fonette Thompson, Ka-thy Ka-thy Grimshaw, Sherri Lynn I Miller and Pam James in the I gift room. Kitchen hostesses were Florence Crabtree, Marian Mar-ian Esplin, Edna Sargent, Lot- ' tie Dutson, Ellen Olofson and Caludia Forsyth. Serving were Claudia Palmer, Stephanie Nelson, Christine Thompson, Mary Lynn Rodriquez, Kathy Williams and Annette Burdis. During the evening, piano selections were played by Mrs. Neil K. Boyter. Reception hostesses were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carter. i |
