Show Deer Hunting Seasons Announced By Big Game Board Big game hunting seasons for 1956 have been set by the Utah Board of Big Game Control. The five man board scheduled final regulations for the deer, elk. and antelope hunts recently, follow. Ing a full week of public hearings hear-ings held over the state to gather facts and recommendations concerning con-cerning the setting of these hunts this year. The general deer hunting season sea-son will begin Saturday, Oct. 20, with an 11-day, either sex hunt being the rule for most of the state's 62 deer herd units. Board members scheduled more liberal hunting regulations for many deer herds in a similar pattern to the 1955 seasons as all facts and Information gathered gath-ered showed ample deer numbers num-bers for the fall harvest Earliest rifle hunts scheduled were In three special permit two-deer two-deer areas, namely, the North Beaver. Antimony, and Henry Mountains. Dates for the hunts on these units were set for Sept. 22 through Oct 7. |
